The 2010 BOC NTBMX Titles nomination form is now out. Nominations close August 16. Red Centre BMX Club here we come. Don't forget that the Masters games is on the weekend after & BMX is in it.

There will be an Officiating course in Darwin on July 18 at the NTIS Marrara. A cycleskill course will be held at the same venue on July 17. Dates for an Officiating & Cycleskill course in Nhulunbuy are being finalised.
At this stage the level 1 BMX coaching course will be August 21/22 in Darwin.

NT Titles nomination form is nearly ready for release. Titles dates are September 30 to October 2. Titles will be in Alice Springs. The weekend after is the Masters games which will have a BMX event.

2010 Australian Titles are history now. What a great event it was. BMXA & The Shepparton Council put in place one of the best titles to date. The track & facilities were awesome. The NT riders made a big impression. Fantastic results. In all the NT had 15 riders that earned a plate for being in the top 8 riders in their class.

Ben Pettit got 2A in the 13 boys.
Jake Tunney got 2A in the 12 boys. 3A in his 24" bike.
Greg Clift 2A 25-29 men. 2A in his 24" bike.
Calm leigh Bridge & Jessica Roach 6th & 7th in 12 girls.
Ryan York Morris 4th in 10 boys.
Brooke Ellison 8th in 17+ women. 4th on her 24" bike.
Tom Gilfedder 6th in 30+ men.
Natasha Bonney 6th in Elite women.
Kerry Pepper 4th 40-44 women 24" bike.
Tracy Kondakov 5th 35-39 women 24" bike.
Kayleigh Mitchell 6th 8-10 girls 24" bike.

We also had several riders narrowly miss getting into the final of their class. Well done to Gavan Cubillo & Reece Roach for placing well in the semi final of the hyper competitive 14 boys class.

A huge congratulations to all the NT riders that participated.

The 2011 Australian Titles will be hosted by the Cairns BMX club on April 26th - May 1st. I am excited already. If you would like to race in that event you will need to qualify by racing at the NT Titles in Alice Springs this October.

Well done to the Red Centre BMX Club for taking on the mammoth task of running 4 meets in 4 days. They did a fantastic job. Odds were stacked against them. Alice Springs has had record rain which smashed their track more than once. The class structure made for hard & fast racing. The quality was excellent. Huge thanks to Andrew Barcroft from the "Good Guys" & Tim Ellison for running another super stream lined bus trip. There were many wornout riders on the 20 hr trip home.
We look now to the Aussie titles in Shepparton. Just quitely the NT has some great talent out there. Riders have been putting in the hard work & going well at the lead up events. Good luck to the 60+ riders that are taking their talent to the bigtop.

Those that wish to participate in the 2010 Australian BMX Titles but did not race at the 2009 SpokesNT titles will need to apply for a wildcard. Wildcard applications close February 26th. Contact jaqnjas@hotmail.com for more info.

Guess I got a slack attack. Time to catch up. There have been several NT riders hitting up events interstate over the wet with some great results. Congratulations to Matt Juster for making the Probikxs final at the Nerang Nationals.
All the NT clubs are planning the new season. As soon as the rain stops they will be into it. The action will start with a big money meet in Alice Springs over easter. Aussie titles are at Sepparton Victoria this year. Nominations close soon.

What great event. The SpokesNT BMX Titles had everything. cheers, tears & controversy. A huge thanks to the Satellite City BMX Club & the Volunteers from each Club for making this event run so smoothly.

2010 we head to Alice Springs in the first weekend of October. One week later there will be BMX in the Master Games. It would be a good idea to make accommodation plans now because it is going to be a big week in the Alice.

Things are really getting a head of steam up now. Only 4 weeks to go. Again we have record entries. Over 300 nominations this year. Satellite City BMX Club is working hard to make this the best titles ever. It will be difficult to top last year but they are motivated.

The 2008 Bright Eyes NT BMX Titles are now done. There are so many people & businesses to thank for making this years titles a success. A big cheers to the members of the other NT Clubs that pitched in to help fine tune the track. Thank you to all the Officials that did a very professional job & the volunteers that worked the canteen & other jobs that needed doing. The magical medic Jann Goodworth & crew did a fantasic job looking after the fallen riders.
The racing was awesome.
